Jeronimo Cal, PhD

Jeronimo is a retired teacher from the Devereux Foundation, which works with disadvantaged students and motivates them for life. In addition, Jeronimo currently volunteers his time in church-related activities, as a deacon and Bible teacher.

Jeronimo holds a Ph.D. in Seed Biology and Agronomy from Cornell University, a M.S. in Agronomy from Cornell University, and a B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Puerto Rico. From Cornell, Jeronimo returned to his native country of Belize, where he worked for fifteen years in various capacities, as field agronomist, as the Chief Agricultural Officer for Belize, as a project director for CARE, as manager for CARiCOM farms- a regional project and lastly as associate director of the US Peace Corps in Belize.
